For a more thorough genetic profile (covering over 600,000 genetic variations), order a $999 kit from 23andMe, who has apparently received some funding from Google.

Google, apparently, also recently invested in Navigenics, a service that will give you a genetic profile, disease prognosis, and counseling based on it – all for a $2,500 initial fee, plus a yearly subscription fee of $250.

deCODEme is another option, offering genetic scans for $985 – or you can buy a gift certificate!

Knome is advertising as the first company to offer a complete individual gene sequence – apparently that’s more advanced than boring old genotypes – their services start at $350,000.
